An Inlet is an indentation of a shoreline, usually long and narrow, such as a small bay or arm, that often leads to an enclosed body of salt water, such as a sound, bay, lagoon or marsh. It is usually the means of travel from a harbor out to sea. Once you've reached the Inlet, your there to the wide open waters and your fishing excursion gets a little closer in sight. Take along these glasses with you as you pass through the Inlet and see what is out there.
